Jess, I'm a Gay Photographer, but I Am a Guy.
At the beginning, I was worried about doing too much gay photography. You know, queer wasn't really a thing back in 2000, like it is in 2022. And that really is largely what I was responding to as well. We were already representing Mary at Pathie Allen,. She's who's been documenting the transgender community for 40 plus years. But their work, their work is quite different both well formally, certainly. That's really a great success story of a working relationship.
