"I became a Christian in a church where one of the first things I heard one of the pastors say was, I'm not certain about anything," he says. "When it comes to faith, it's not about having absolute certainty, right? You just honestly just got to have 51% certainty, right?" The West has largely embraced the notion of disconfirmation and uncertainty as part of its culture because Christianity is based on humility.
