Rachmaninov's Climax
Rachmaninov was biologically aware of this as a musician, beat in composition and, or piano playing. His climaxes are less of a peak, but more of a plateau on top of a mountain. He reaches this high point, and there is sort of the cresting over this imaginary one point. That is quite a sexy feature of his music and quite specific to him.
