According to Tibbets, folklore and legends, a light appeared before him like a burning candle in the window of a shepherd's cottage. So obviously the Dwehäger were trying to lure him and make him fall into the newly excavated pool. He took a big clod of turf and threw it in, creating a big splash. And on the instant, the light went out. Ah, he thinks they think I fell in and drowned. Mm. Got one over on them. Now there is a second story that doesn't just involve them giving up.
