Nicolea mase is a marine biologist from micronesia, home to the deepest part of the ocean. She and expedition leader victor vescovo visited an area so remote that no humans had ever been there before. The challenger deep is located at the southern end of mariana trench - as deep as you can go on the planet. It's where the titonic plate of the pacific rams into asia.
Earlier this year, Nicole Yamase explored the bottom of the Challenger Deep, the deepest place in the ocean, where few people have ever been. The rest of the seafloor is almost as mysterious — 80 percent remains unmapped — but the few glimpses scientists have gotten have completely revolutionized our understanding of the planet.
