No one knew that he was going to do this. It was a complete shock to everybody. I think there are a number of things going on for him. If he had been able to hang on, he would have had so much more impact. He really believed that if everyone started thinking this way the change would happen. And you know, my fear about the news right now is that the news focuses on how terrible things are getting. and it's too bad it's not balanced by all the various efforts that are going on.
