Dionysius Is the Prosecutor of All Drama
When he says dionysius is the protagonist of all tragedy, what he means to say is that something that is an offence against the established order is really what's at the heart of tragedy. And prometheus defies the gods, steals fire, gives it to human beings, which is what enables culture. For aesthetic experience to redeem, life has to have this element of restoring oneness. But the problem with the whole idea of oneness is the horror of lack of individuation,. i mentioned during the antigony episode, that the horror of not being individuated is not just about destruction and dying, but also about going back to the womb.
