Why Do I Fast?

In a temple context, the word for alms is probably ritual actions with your hands having to do with justice and mercy. And it's also on the other side where some say, I just like being dressed like this because it reminds me of where I've been today. We don't know their motive. Only father can see our motive. So that's why Jesus says things like when you fast, don't appear unto men to fast, fast in secret so that your father knows.
