The Turning Image of Sin
All sin is a turning from God to a created good, right? So that kind of the kind of reorientation of life and a priority to things that are lesser and insufficient for happiness. A venial sin is like when you see the sign that says Chick-fil-A off this exit and then you get off the exit and the next sign says it's 8.6 miles away. You're like, holy smokes,. This is like a 25 minute detour, but the chicken is worth it kind of, but is it worth it? It's adopting a bad means to the end.
