The Effect of the Electric Field on the Energy Levels of a Molecule
This is all happening on a lab bench, basically. We're trying to see if the electrons inside of the molecule that we have trapped respond to the electric field in a way that would show their energy levels shifting around. So you can have kind of two answers here. It can be zero, or it can be a value. And either way, it tells you something about the world and the history of the universe and a lot of things.
