My Dad's Divorce
When my dad was 22, he made the decision to switch back to using his chinese surname. My dad thinks of this time as a kind of turning point in his relationship with his father. And after my dad got married and started his own family, the two of them started to spend a little more time together. I think that it showed him that despite our disconnectedness over the years, that i didn't give up on my being of chinese descent.
