My Abiding Regret Is Not Having More Children

i think it's a very interesting question right now of how our gender rolls are going to evolve. We 're all trying to look like linda vedge and lista, and none of us should have had banksshov what wast bank. And i envy my friends that have a lot of kids, because i seems you have more fun as e an older person when you've got all these young people. I regret not having more children.

But to come back and help rebuild, to lay the foundation again, that's why i love verse 12 and 13. Many of the priests and levites and chief of the fathers, who were ancient men, 70 years old or over, that had seen the first house. When the foundation of this house was laid before their eyes, they wept with a loud voice. Thend many shouted aloud for joy, so that the people could not discern the noise of the shout of joy from the noise of the weeping of the people. For the people shouted with a loud shout, and the noise was heard afar off. Oh, there can be different displays of the same common emotion. They all felt something deep. And for some it was iffused in tears. In others it was iffused in shouts. But for them to be able to vent the, oh, the sense of loss, but also the sense of gain. What a moment i can only imagine. At the dedication of the navu temple, for example, the re dedication of the re of the newly rebuilt navu temple, no one was old enough to have lived to see the original. Oh, but president hinkley, you would have thought he was a kid that grew up in navu, the way he felt the dedication and the way he spoke of the temple, and just how on how much he wanted it to be as close to the original as it could possibly be. Can you imagine the pioneers, those early saints, looking down from the spirit world and seeing the temple rise again, phoenix from the ashes? Imagine what the lord must feel, or what he will feel, when a temple is built again in jerusalem. Imagine what joseph and hiram and brigham and john and partley and and heber must feel when we are finally able to build zion in jackson county, missouri? Well, we're getting a glimpse of that as as this is happening, with the temple of zerubobel rising from the ashes of the temple of solomon. Now, as excited as these people were, unfortunately, there were others that weren't so excited about a rebuilt temple, because, again, that was going to give the jews a a a focal point, a centre of gravity, something that would help remind them of who they really were. And in chapter four of ezra, you see those that are going to come and and try to hinder the work.
