How to Increase Endurance With a Ketogenic Low Carbohydrate Diet

There's some really fascinating studies that they've done in athletes called a train low race high or train low compete high. When you take endurance athletes and have them train in a carbohydrate depleted state, you actually up regulate some of these enzymes such as glycogen synthase. So this is something that can be used as almost like a hack to increase endurance as well. The key is that for someone like an Ironman triathlete, and this is what all have my athletes do, is they'll follow a relatively ketotic low carbohydrate diet.
