The destruction of Thebes is discussed and recorded in verses eight, nine and 10 of chapter three. Nahum was written after that date; Nineveh hasn't been destroyed by the Babylonians yet. To say that at this time of jubilation is actually kind of a buzzkill for these Assyrians. And I can't help but think of the parallel with Book of Mormon.
