Tostig and the King of Northumbria
Tostig is harold godwinson's younger brother, who had been earl of northumbria. He was known as repressive and charged high taxes. In the fall of ten 65, when edward is still alive, the populace in northumbria revolted. The commoners drove him out and invited a replacement to come take his place. But Harold judges that suppressing this revolt might lead to civil war. People might rally around these rebels. So he exiles tostig from england to, i went abroad, to flanders.
