She's a Cold Person, and All She Cares About His Money
Rilly could be really only one of two things. Either she had blown through a lot of the money, didn't have much of it left, or she knew her son needed this treatment, but she wasn't willing to use her own money. So what does she do? Ut she puts him into foster care so that the state would then pick up the tab for his psychiatric treatment. Or she's a cold person, and all she cares about his money. This would be another example of that, besides the fact that we know she's going to kill a number of men for money.
