The DeVos Family's Investment in Theranos
The DeVos family invested an astonishing $100 million into the unproven technology company Theranos. This is not the first time they have invested in a questionable healthcare company either. In 2000, the family invested $200 million in the Altera Healthcare Corporation which later went bankrupt. And there's also what you might call concerning investing in the Performance Recovery Incorporated who paid more than $15 million in wrongful death suits from 1999 until 2003.
