Are We Losing the Eyes to See?
We assume that the forces of nature described by our ancestors were unseen again because we don't see them. The pressing question is, have we lost the eyes to see? I think about angels, wrote eugenio montali in his poem satura, scattered here and there, unobserved. And if no one sees them, it is because other eyes are needed, which i do not have. Why? Because animism is normative consciousness. Much has been written about how and why this animate vision was lost some pointe decarte for corbin,. yet the greeks describe this loss as happening over three thousand years ago.
