The Life of Anselm the Monk
In 1066, William the Conqueror was crowned King of England at Westminster Abbey. In his absence, Anselm became Abbot of the monastery at Beck in Normandy. He wrote Monologion and Proslogion - heavy-duty philosophical texts that argue for the existence of God. After Lon Frank died, Anselsm was tapped to replace him as Archbishop of Canterbury.
