Top creators were taking home 70 %. Twitch was taking 30%. In this announcement, the president of twitch says that now we will be moving to a uniform 50 50 split across all creators. For top creators, who make up the majority of the revenue and viewership on twitch, they now learn that they're getting a huge pay cut.
