The Italians Need That Little Bit of Inflation

France is a big italy, right? And the french are a latin race, and they have latin sensibilities. France kind of always pretend to the world that it's a little germany economically,. But deep down, there is this philosophical tension. So i think your idea is that if we get higher inflation, and then the central bank increases intostraits, and that precipitates a recession, eventually the italians will start to complain. The germans will use the recession to bear down inflation, but the italians need that little bit of inflation to keep the whole show in the road. I wouldn't be drumming up the the breget drum roll just yet.
