Neo Sensory's Vest for Hearing Loss

We tested the vest with lots of participants in the deaf community and we even built a miniature vest because it turned out that one of the people we were working with had a daughter who was born deaf and blind so we made this little miniature vest for her. It picked up on the sounds of the world and translated this into patterns of vibration on her skin. Eventually we were able to shrink the whole system down to a wristband and that opens up the technology for a much larger population.
