CNN's John Sutter talks with author about his new book, "The Smart Pill" He says he wanted to show the social side of science in a way that other sci-fi writers haven't. The novel is set in an alternate universe where technology has advanced so much it can no longer be controlled by laws of physics or biology. It also explores issues such as racism and sexism within our own society.
