The Importance of Zaka in Mecca

There was absolutely no rules about Zaka that were given until after the Hijra in the second year after the migration when the Muslims established a state. Tax collectors who would go to all the different regions in the peninsula to take the livestock and the agriculture from each of the tribes so he would send us companion who would going to a tribe, collect from the livestock and then that companion would collect from the agriculture which was whenever there was a harvest. That was a typical way that Zaka was collected at his time ﷺ with tax collectors going to these tribes  and then the Huda Fau Roshidun they actually follow the general same principle.
