The Role of Dopamine in Habit Formation

Some individuals may have an over-reliance, unhabit formation and this might drive some of the treatment resistant behaviors that we see in eating disorders or mental health struggles. A quote that really resonated with me recently was that if you were them, you'd be them about just behavior in general. But also I think this isn't doesn't mean it's destiny, right? A habit is not a destiny, but understanding that this habit have neural properties does give you a path forward on how to deal with them.
