Are You Producing Cattle or Cattle?

The cattle herd goes through about a ten year cycle. And that ten year cycle can be disrupted by things like drought. If we do not add slaughter capacity, and the government's doing what it can, they're putting 500 million dollars into advance in grants and loans ah to increased slaughter capacity for beef. But if we do that, and then all of a sudden we start to cycle down on cattle numbers, those two things are going to collide at some point. Vance: The only way to fix this is with somebody that has as much power as the four packers,. which the only thing that's as powerful as that is the government.
