The Battle of Sterling Bridge
In 1296 Edward invaded Scotland and captured the castle of Dunbar. He demanded Scottish troops join England in a war against France. But Scotland was like, nope. Instead they teamed up with France against the English. Some Scots decided to rebel including William Wallace and Andrew Murray. They beat the much bigger English army at the Battle of Sterling Bridge. It was a huge victory for Scotland, but Andrew Murray was sadly killed in battle. Next came the Battle of Falkirk - this time using rubbish tactics.
