Since the relatively early 18 hundreds, in the united states of america, our sphere of influence has been defined as being north and south. It's a two hemisphere sphere of influence, and no one else is allowed in here. And so when cuba a had a revolution, and the person who took over from the revolution, fidel castro, announced that he was a communist,. He began to bring in our adversaries in the cold war, the soviets, their advisers, their military people, and eventually their missiles right off the coast of the united states. As you might imagine, we weren't happy about it, and we haven't been happy about cuba ever since.
