CHAPTER

Hospitality Is the Opposite of Xenophobia

When Jesus was with a bunch of people who already had faith in the Bible and Scripture, but just for whatever reason had drifted away, he would open their home to himself. The word hospitality means something very different in the New Testament than in our modern world. Think of Philadelphia and the city of Brethely love. Hospitality is the exact opposite of xenophobia. It is not the fear or the hate of the stranger. It is the love and the welcome of the stranger as a guest in your house.
