The Importance of Focus in English

Focus is often like before the verb in Chinese, I need to bone up on that and figure that out. Marking especially or sometimes prosodic marking English does this. You just leave whatever focus argument wherever it would go in the sentence naturally and you just market as the focus thing. That doesn't mean that those are the other options. Any of them can be left where they are.
