The History of Tobacco
Portuguese sailors brought tobacco and the pastime of smoking back to their country. Tobacco was used a treatment for all sorts of health problems, even cancer. Cigarettes are thought to have been invented as far back as the 16 hundreds by beggars in seville in spain. The pre rolled cigarette didn't really take old until the nineteenth century. This was mainly because prior to that point, they were made almost entirely by hand. In 18 80, a man named james bonzac invented a machine that could roll up to 210 cigarettes a minute. By the late 18 eighties, the men were making four million cigarettes daily. A far cry from the packs of pre rolled cigarettes sold
