The Importance of Virtue in Relationships

Aristotle says friendships based on the good take a long time to develop, because you have to know the other person well. A friend who is a friend of goodness or virtue will also be enjoyable to be around and they will also be useful. If it turns out that someone that you know actually is honest and courageous, they're probably going to be honest and courageous five years later. That's just how virtue works.
