Tolstoy threw a fit when Terregenev took him to task about his artistic output. Tikovsky: "My acquaintance with Tolstoy as with anyone has brought me nothing but weariness and torment" He says we must be wary of putting great writers, these great artists on a pedestal because they are not perfect.
