The Challenge of Accrediting and Licensing UX Practitioners

I don't know how to square the circle of educating our collaborators, be they our users or the people who are hiring us. What makes sense to have a single international body for UX practitioners is that model that sufficiently recognizes and represents the levels of cultural diversity that we get across different environments. I'm sitting here in Melbourne, you two are in Sweden. How does scope fit into accrediting questions? Do we need one standard? Do weNeed national standards? Do we needs region standards? Should they be related to each other? These are all questions that haven't yet been fully addressed by people who are enthusiastic about accreditation like I am.
