Is BitTorrent a Good Chain?

I'm interested in why they would use BitTorrent, particularly to chain up. Because it's a good chain. I don't suspect that BitTorrent is getting a ton of volume. It's a dead chain. But I got maybe I'm wrong, right? My understanding is it's a deadChain. No real development,. very little use trading volume, 15 and a half million.
