Plants have another way of talking to each other without sound. They use smell to convey danger. Can we help them out too? Euryn and his team are looking into whether we could use priming and the subsequent immune memory to create plant vaccines. This broad spectrum immunity that vaccines can offer plants is key. It makes it much harder for the pathogens to beat the plant immune system.
