Pythagoras: An Enigma

Pythagoras remains an enigma, even in antiquity. We know most of what we do know through the Doxographic tradition. This is a tradition of quoting and discussing teachings of earlier philosophers. It often features legendary stories about wise men who had superpowers or could do magic. In this episode we're going to concentrate on our precious scraps of pre-Platonic evidence for Pythagoras.
