The Importance of Self-Corruption
There are a great many ways in which this sort of view could be developed. But neither of the two most natural ways appears, upon reflection, to be very promising. To claim, first, that self-corruption is invariably a way of treating oneself as a mere means and then to claim that to treat oneself is always wrong. This tack fails because it's not clear why we should suppose it would always be wrong to treat oneself if we can't make sense of the notion of someone's doing such a thing.
