Is There a Black Hole Collision?

i imagine a whole bunch of like light too, right? Like quasars have in that gas that was around each of em is, you know, going through this extreme velocities and smashing against each other. Most of the energy is radiated as gravitational radiation. There can also be light emitted. People have only seen a couple of examples where they have seen flashes of light perfectly coincident with black whole collisions. And so something they are excited to study. It's not something we've seen many examples of, so it's not something that's very well understood yet.
