And in this case, it's probably to drive us to come up with ideas, organize our activities towards actually seeing those ideas executed and completed. So there's something deeply human about production, about doing things that are productive. It belies the idea that when in your life outside o work, you feel an urge to pick up a complicated hobby or document something or learn something new. That's graduate siminar stuff. And ivory tower stuff. And Ivory Tower where they blacked over the windows and aren't looking out at the world around us.
