When i was 17 and discovered professor wezel's book, souls on fire, as it's a story telling book of the hasidic masters. And then i discovered martin boober's tales of thehasidim, i was just lown away. I felt that something precious in my own tradition had been kept fom me. The stories are all about non conformity, a kind of sacred nonconformity,. "There's an intelligence here, you know, in this conversation, there's there's something happening that never happens anywhere else"
