In the Christian religion, I think that there's quite a few scriptures that indicate that that's not a bad thing. You can live now and then also live for a reward in the future. Both of those things can be simultaneously true. And presence can be really useful for you too because you can get so caught up on living for that afterlife that you forget, Hey, I've got a life right here that I'm a part of.
