Introduction

This month we are doing an episode that is a little bit different. Normally we alternate back and forth between kind of doing a theoretical overview of a text and doing current events. But for this month we decided that we were going to do something that combines a little bit of both of those. We want to talk about the crisis in Palestine that we've seen very acutely over the last month. What settler colonialism is, how it relates to countries like Israel but also countries like the United States where we're recording this right now. And then finally wrapping up with the discussion of how some of the authors that we've read who are critics of colonialism and imperialism can help us understand sort of what we
