Is There a Balance Between Class and National Identity?
I disagree that classes and identity I don't I rejects the premise because classes about your material relationship to power. Many of these identity struggles that you're talking about are intrinsically bound up in the class struggle and to divorce them from the class struggle is a mistake. The real problem started when these identity based struggles were divorced from the overarching class struggle. That's how you have these atomized little kind of bubbles where nothing material has been achieved. And so the cultural posturing of the left ends up just reifying the hierarchies that it claims to be trying to challenge with this identity movement. We need to juggle all of these identities without neglecting any of them.
