The Trade-Off Between Climate Change and Extreme Weather
We can't necessarily say that an event was caused or not caused by climate change. We don't have enough evidence to say it in a certain way. On the one hand, we are likely to see a more variable climate with climate change,. So we may see more extreme cold snaps while on average the climate is warming. And unfortunately, we're continuing to see on average a warming climate.
