The German Philosopher Emmanuel Kant and the Asabria Family

Most of Asabria family was effectively the last known Sheikhul Islam of the Ottoman Empire. He saw all Muslim societies under political, economical and especially intellectual influence of the West. His four-volume masterpiece that is called Mokkifula basically brings his classical Islamic scholarship into conversation with philosophical and political trends of his time. And one broader topic in his work,. which is quite extensive and detailed, is his discussion with Kant on metaphysics and causality - subject of my master's dissertation. This discussion we are talking about between both thinkers can be considered as the last chain or one of the last chains of a long dialogue between East and West over 1000 years.
