The Battle of Longthorpe
The 9th Legion were in the eastern part of the country, the East Midlands effectively. The main body of their troops seems to have been just west of Peterborough at a place called Longthorpe. That's only about a 75-mile march from Camel of Doonum. If there's going to be a relief column that marches to try and save Camel of Doons before the rebels get there, I suspect they marched immediately. They butcher the druids. They start to hack down the sacred groves that Tasterpe says were there. And once they've got a foothold on that island, the island is doomed. It's not big enough to support a protracted guerrilla campaign
