The Christian Faith in Jazz

I don't think there's anything intrinsic to the music that is erotically evil or intrinsically worldly or sensuous. But yeah, it's been associated with that. One of the weird experiences I had was going into the Place de Vouss by Square in Paris and hearing what sounded like Dixieland style jazz. And then all of the sudden, it just got really strange. They were playing these sort of standard early jazz tunes, but then when it went to the solos,. they were playing using Hungarian minor scales and things like that.
