The Problem With Net Zero
There's no reason for going green to involve major reductions to our quality of life, except for a poverty of ambition and an inability to deliver on big infrastructure projects. I'm always slightly skeptical of the way the net zero was done, which is politicians announcing enormously ambitious targets that will definitely be hit at some point after they themselves have retired. If we actually manage to achieve these things, then the politicians who set the target to get a lot of the credit. And if we don't manage to achieve them, then well, those politicians were let down by all those that followed them. Currently, it doesn't look like we're going to have the technology and infrastructure in place to hit a lot
