At sea level, the 760 millimeters of mercury worth of gases on us. Nitrogen is the most abundant gas in our atmosphere. We are constantly being surrounded by it but desensitized to it. It makes no sense for us to be consciously aware of all that pressure at one moment. But if you climb a mountain or you go deeper into the ocean, you start to experience the pressure.
